Australasian Superskips – S2 R1 – Barber

Playing a bit of catch with covering this season’s action in the Australasian Superskips.

Season 2 kicked off in the second week of April and took place at the very challenging Barber Motorsports Park.  A great lineup to start the season.  A strong field of 28 turned out for Round 1 and there was a great mix of local and international driving talent on display.

One of the big innovations this season has been the introduction of the championship website, generously developed and hosted by Philippe Lebeyart using the same system as the 2K Cup.

The race itself was hotly contested with the usual mix of on track action thrown in with the challenge of making timely and clean pitstops.  Whilst RRtv will cover selected rounds of the season, unfortunately Bernie was unwell and unable to cover the event, so you will have to settle for my onboard footage and commentary below.

Make sure that after watching it through, you check out the full results and standings on the new AAS website here – LINKY

The Top Split – Episode #006 – Tyson Meier

This episode I speak with Tyson Meier aka ‘Quirk’ an iRacing Twitch streamer.

I very much enjoyed having Tyson on the show.  He was open and honest in our conversation.  I’m a regular viewer of his stream and can thoroughly recommend it.  He streams regularly and it’s a great watch.

You can check out his channel here – https://www.twitch.tv/quirkitized

The Top Split – Episode #005 – Bernie Wiemers

In this episode I was finally able to talk to the man behind RRtv, Bernie Wiemers.  Bernie has been on my list to have on the show since there was a list, so it was great to finally have him on the show.

Bernie and I spoke about what is involved in broadcast streaming iRacing.  All the tools of the trade and some of the thinking and work that goes on behind the scenes.  It’s a great starting point if you are thinking about doing some broadcasting or indeed just getting involved in your local iRacing community more broadly.

If you’d like to get in touch with Bernie or check out some of his fine work at RRtv you can check out his Facebook page or YouTube site using the links below:

MNL Season 7 Race 12 @ Sebring

A great way to end Season 7 of Monday Night Lights with a strong field taking on the challenging Sebring circuit.

Fantastic to see the series come down to the wire with Enzo Canta and Luke Whitten battling it out on track in attempt to outpoint the other both in the race and the championship itself.  Check out the RRtv coverage below who once again brought great support and exposure to the series.

Congratulations to all the drivers for an awesome season of racing.  The Monday Night Lights series is once again proving to be a great platform for the ANZ club members and beyond!

Australasian Superskips Round 8 @ New Hampshire

A great round of the Australasian Superskips held at New Hampshire saw another big field take on the tight ‘roval’ layout.  In what some might call a miracle, the whole field made it through the hairpin on lap 1 successfully, which spoke to both the standard of driving and the attitude of the people piloting their Skippies.

Certainly a fun race from my perspective with and enjoyable element of interaction with viewers while I streamed this race.  I had a good few laughs and a great night of racing.

You can check out the action below!
